Ackley Improved?

Just out of curiosity, is there a load data book specifically AI? I saw a link online for a manual but the link didn't work. I've also searched the web with no luck. I have a 243 ai that will be here in a few days. I don't really need it as I am going to work up from standard 243 Win loads, I just mainly want one.

I would not be surprised of Ackleyman had some more for you as well. I bet he was worn out more .243 AI barrels than just about anyone.

I have seen a little data over the years. But , I usually start with standard loads and work up slow. Most of mine are AI. Love them

I have a 243ai with a 12 twist barrel. I shoot 68 gr flat based bullets and vn550. I have had good luck with 550 in this 243ai and a 6mm Remington

Any reason why I couldn't make it to 3750-3800 muzzle velocity using a 75 gr v max and variety? I know a guy that has his shooting 3900 but I'm sure he is pushing the limits

With the 243 AI you are coming pretty close to duplicating the 6mm Remington, and the fastest velocity nosler lists for a 70 grain bullet Is 3648. I think maybe you might be pushing things a little bit.
