22-250 loads

Per my Lee manual you are under the starting load for Varget. 34.0-36.5

Stevens 200 with Rifle Basix trigger and Boyds stock. I shoot 37.5grns of Varget under a 50grn Vmax. I shoot 36.5grns of Varget under a 55grn Vmax. Both of these loads are more accurate than I am off of a bag and will do 1/3" groups. Do what I did and work up to these as they are max loads. These are not something I go to the range and plink with, I use them for hunting. Speed does not always increase accuracy but there quite a few 22-250's that like a near max charge.

Could some one please help, I want to work up a load for a 22-250 using Nosler BT 55gr with H414 but Nosler don’t call for H414 but I have seen some where that H414 and W760 is the same thing and Nosler does call for W760, I have H414 and the 55gr BT’s, just wanting to find someone that has used this before, I have a Tikka tx3 varmint Heavy barrel that I want to use this load for and a brother with a savage axis, wanting to use the same load if possible. Think you

H380 was made for the 22-250, 38.0 grains. And it meters great!

TK, yes they are the same powder 760 and 414, and load data is interchangeable.

AR comp, CFE 223, Varget, and H380 all go well with 50-55 grain bullets for me with accuracy and speed between 3,750 and 3,800.

IMR-4064 and the 55gr HSP has been an excellent load for my 788 22-250.
