I found some IMR 4320 for $15.00 a lb. on clearance sale. I plan on loading 52 gr. FBHP. Wondering if anyone on here has used this powder etc. and have pet loads. The loading manual shows it is very close to Varget, and IMR 4064 but with higher pressures.

I bought some awhile back when Varget was hard to come by. Out of my 308 it shot just as good as Varget, but the accuracy node was 150 fps slower. It's my understanding that 4320 has been around for a long time.

I had 5 lbs of IMR 4320 leftover from another project. So I used it to load bulk blasting ammo in my AR with Speer 52gr HPs. Shoots great. I'll post my load tonight (pretty sure it's 27.0gr).

Dirty Dog---- That is the round I use also, Speer 52gr HPs. I use those for coyotes and they make one hole. Knocks them flat and you can hear the thump when they hit. Never used the 4320 but, it has been around a long time and the price was too good to pass up!

Thanks Rudy

I have been using 4320 for 30 years and am very happy with it .The first 25 years of prairie dog shooting was with 4320 and Winchester 55 grain soft points and thousands of dead prairie dogs will attest to the accuracy of that combo.

Update: I use 27.0gr with a Speer 52gr HP.
