Folks ,
I’m looking for some help in loading 60s in a .223 AR platform with a 1/8 twist or faster . I’ve got. 20” Krieger VARMATCH .223 Wylde with a 7.7 twist , which I think is probably closer to 8 than 7 twist . Looking for MOA accuracy !
I plan to use them on groundhogs-coyotes & fox. Powder; CFE223 , Varget, H322,VV n130, VV n133 , 4064,4350, H4350 ,4198 ...Winchester sm rifle - Rem 7 1/2 primers.

If you have any personal experience with loads for this application I would appreciate any help you can pass on.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

I tried 60gr V-Max's earlier this summer, but wasn't impressed with it.

23.3gr H322
cci#400 primer
various brass
Can't remember COAL but max pmag length
2896fps

Accuracy was 1.5" at 100y. Got busy loading 6.8 SPC and never tried anything else.

Knight Armament 16" Mod 2 upper with AAC M4-2000 suppressor

I shoot 60GR Nosler BT's and love them, great accuracy and zero fur damage. I don't have any experience with the VMAX's. I do perfer 60g for the bullet weight though, i've had no complaints about the performance.

For what it's worth i've had great results with 25.8gr Varget in a lake city case, rem 7-1/2 primer. You could probably squeeze a little more out of a .223 case. Been shooting these for a few years now however I am looking to switch to a faster powder in the near future. Trying to consolidate powders and Varget is going.

I have used them in a 16" barrel AR and didn't have any problem dropping coyotes, prairie dogs and jack rabbits. I haven't chronographed the load but it works just fine.

Mine are doing 2,760 avg. from an 18" barrel. Haven't lost one yet, usually knocks them DRT. Like I said above with zero fur damage.

23.8gr of H322, cci#400 primer, loaded pmag length

H322 is what I want to switch to. I use it for my 308 and it's been amazing. 2,945 is awesome, good to know it's achievable.

The can does give you a slight boost aswell.

60 grain vmax with 24.3 grains of benchmark shoots great in my sons rra 18" 8 twist. The same load does not perform as well in mine 18" 223"wylde, but the 55 grain varmagedon does with benchmark does.

I was using the 60 nbt in my 11.5" AR and they worked great, I wouldn't worry about MV.
