Ive got a Rem 700 ADL varmint 22-250. Its a few years old with somewhere around 800 rounds on it. Its developed an extraction issue. Not every time but often the bolt wont travel back after a round is fired without extreme force. It doesnt do it if you chamber and then clear a round. Just on a fired case. Im absolutley sure its not a pressure issue ive played around with hot loads, extremely mild loads, different brass lengths, virgin brass, old brass, factory loaded rounds, cleaned the chamber, etc. The bolt opens and closes smooth and easy it just doesnt travel backward without force.

Probably an easy enough awnser here, ive been busy and havent been able to work with it as much as id like. Really needing this rifle in good reliable working order by the last weekend in October. What say you? Thoughts? Opinions?Ideas?

I just had the same problem on a 700 .204 The extractor was riding out of the groove in the bolt nose with the fired case and hanging the bolt in the action after firing. As ninehorses said, if your extractor is not pinned it can rotate & be out of time... Good luck!
