How good is the FoxPro inferno? Enough volume with just 4 AA batteries. Don't want to spend more than $200. Can I use rechargeable batteries in this unit? On a cold WI day, how long will these batteries last? Any other suggestions?
Thanks

The inferno is a good investment for $200. You can use rechargeable batteries in it. I've used mine on a 13 degree January day in NWPA without any issues. The volume is pretty good. How much volume do you need?

I have to agree with Bad Dawg. Wait for the Patriot to come out.. It has the same caller as the Inferno with an improved remote. I didn't have any reliability issues with the Inferno remote. It has a great effective range. The buttons can be difficult with gloved hands in the winter though. The new remote on the Patriot has buttons like the tx1000 remote used on the fusion and shockwave calls. The Patriot is also priced less than the inferno. It's definitely worth taking a good long look at....
