Elbow Pads

Not to be a weenie but my elbows are raw! I shoot on public land close by for gophers and coyotes. Mostly I shoot prone. I have seen soccer elbow pads and hard cup military pads.
Military style look too stiff.
Soccer pads I'm curious if any one has tried them and if they hold up.

Yeah thought of that and bought one of Midway's light weight models but is still quite a bit to carry. I varmint hunt with my comp rifle often and it is 15 lbs plus ammo, binos it all adds up. I try to walk and hunt 2-4 miles. Spring and fall no problem wearing a jacket.
 
i would suggest looking at a used sporting good store and get a used Hockey elbow pad.

That should be comfortable all day, and not limit mobility.
 
Wish i could use the soft shell ones but the stickers out here are horrible! My hard shell knee pads that i use for stalking deer and antelope work well and aren't too uncomfortable
