Bear hunting and trapping in Maine

I can't seem to find a forum for bear hunting; does anyone have any advice on hunting and/or trapping bear? Know of any good forums to lean about bears? Especially in Maine? This fall I'm going to try a DIY bear hunting and trapping getaway and I'd like to get some education. Most importantly, I'd like to know how to find bear to pinpoint the best spot for bait/trap. Anyone try calling bears?

I'll be in the Maine portion of the White Mountain National Forrest in early September.

I called in a bear in Massachusetts last September. What a rush. Cub in distress near any standing corn.

There's a magazine about bear hunting. I think Dick Scorzafava writes it or owns it. Saw it last year when we were in Maine turkey hunting.
