This is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately the VA is a completely screwed up organization and is in need of an immediate overhaul. I've fought the VA on multiple occasions on behalf of my dad a Korean War combat veteran. Dealing with the layers of red tape and nobody knows what a correct answer is or going on in another department is tiresome and draining. Much of the policy for treatment is impractical or ridiculous. Watching the abuse of the system by both employees and a certain percentage of those claiming benefits is as infuriating as watching the welfare system in America bankrupting Social Security. How does a guy in the National Guard that never left the states get a disability for PTSD? Chit...
