Barrel length for shotgun

I need some help. Im looking for a dedicated coyote and turkey shotgun. I looking a a Benelli M2 with an 18.5 barrel.Since it only takes 3 inch shells and the short barrel would this be too big of a handicap ?

I use a Mossberg 930 SPX non-pistol grip for that and it's a 20" barrel length. Hasn't been a problem yet. I sent it to Carlson's for a choke install. Nice work. I like the shorter barrel, it clears brush and swings easier then my Duck/Goose gun does in close cover.
