CFE223 in a 6BR

I have heard that CFE is 2230, but no way to confirm.

Hodgdon shows CFE223 at 105 and 2230 at 84 on their burn rate chart.

CZ, what are you referring to with 99% FR? Are you talking about load density in the case? This is what I'm looking for, is load density.

I get decent results from N135, even 748. I tried 335, although very limited, and it doesn't fill the case well. so I'm looking for a powder that will give better density without going over pressure or too slow burning.

Pressure's are a little higher in the 22-250 cartridge with CF&E. Varget is the lowest at 60,400 PSI and CF&E is 63,800 PSI. This is using a 60gr. HDY V-Max. On the other hand you get higher velocity with CF&E at 3,688 FPS compared to Varget at 3,503. Just comparing this two powders because Varget is always a popular powder. I like the way CF&E flows and seems to be clean burning in my rifles. Rudy

H335 is a hands down winner with 55-70g bullets in the 6 BR, fast, accurate and clean burning at accuracy node. A barrel will last between 8000-10,000 rounds with H335 if it starts out with zero freebore.

N135 eats barrels....
