I am looking for TWO (2) good coyote hounds.
Not Deer hounds.
Not Fox hounds.
COYOTE HOUNDS
Able to Strike, Track, Trail, Bay and/or Kill a Coyote.
They will be hunted off horseback in big country where roads are a luxury and not common.
I prefer Triggs, but will I consider and am open to any breed that can do what I described.
I prefer an eye pleasing, "houndy" type over the bottle-nose kind of hound.
Good feet are a must.
Grit and able to hold a coyote at bay, or kill it.
Able to pack well with other hounds after an acceptable period to become acquainted.
Intact. If they work out and do what I want, I may want to breed them eventually.
I hunt lions and cats and run Nance bloodlines as well as Sawmill Run Triggs. I've got a couple litters coming now, but I am wanting to expand my horizons, so to speak. If I can find some sure enough good coyote hounds, I may want to consider some different crosses in the future, so breeding potential is part of my criteria.
