Early Morning Hard Charger

Gang,

I set out to farm where I shot a coyote a couple of weeks ago. At first light, I started with sparse howls. Then, I mixed in some rabbit distress. After 20 minutes I went back to coyote vocalizations. Female submissive howls to be exact. I followed that with Lucky Bird and caught motion crossing huge open field in front of me! Boy, the coyote looked neat through the scope after months of only seeing critters at night.

The coyote was approaching steadily and when it saw the Foxjack decoy it really turned on the after burners! It made an all out sprint and tackled the decoy and call combination! The distance from me was only 50 yards and I could not slow it down for a shot. "Had I blown it?" No,way... I took the running away shot at approx. 125 yards. The coyote yelped and spun and the second shot anchored it!
