AR in 7-08

Yup I built an 7-08 upper for a pal of mine using a BHW 22" bbl.
I do not have his loads on hand.
Ive seen him shoot groups from .600" to 1" @ 100 yds with his handloads.
He wanted a bigger caliber for 100-300 yard elk and already had the .243 R25 to build it off of.
Using PVI factory rounds it was shooting 1.5" @ 100 yds.
AR10s are heavy though.

Thanks..
You know how it goes , have one AR in ____ caliber already , why not build one in a different one and see what happens ....

All AR's seem to be a little heavier than their bolt action friends ..

I have had 2 of them, just finished the 3rd with one with one of Ritch's BHW barrels, they are really accurate but heavy as stated. I lightened mine with Keymod and just a 20" barrel this time, and used the ACE rifle length stock. Weighs in at just under 9 lbs.

built one with a 20" pac-nor barrel, machined the [beeep] out of it just over 8.2 # total it is some what heavy but it shoots very well, use it in Idaho as my go to weapon. a lot of JPE, DPMS,Houge parts with vortex scope rifle length gas w/adj block needs it
