Va. Anti-dog Bill Defeated

Virginia house voted on a bill this morning that would charge hunters $100 for each dog allowed on some ones property that had it posted. what they did was stir up a hornets nest and with the hunter turn out the bill was defeated. Now I don't hunt with dogs but if dogs start out on a deer a few miles from me and cross my land, well dogs can't read so it's no big deal to me. Besides I like hearing a good chase myself. My son in law and oldest granddaughter attended the meeting this morning. My granddaughter is 11 years old and dog hunting is her passion. While most little girls are getting barbies for Christmas, last year she got a broke bluetick coon hound and a registered black and tan puppy. Whether it's a dog treeing a coon or running a deer she loves both. I believe she took her 5th deer this year so she can shoot too.
