FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC THREAD...

This first song, IMHO, (although it's an older song), seems appropriate to start of the new year.....

I love this next song. Have for a few years now.
Just earlier this week, I finally came across the full version.
I watch a lot of British & Canadian TV series (when they're shown on PBS...or on DVD). I first heard part of the song, when it was used for the main theme for the BBC crime series "Wallander".

That's a great pick, Stu!!!
IMHO, he had the best voice in "heavy metal".
Not to mention, that he came up with a LOT of great lyrics.

I was a RJD fan, from way back when he was the singer for Rainbow.
I was also a huge video game player most of the past 35+ years.
Back in the mid-90s, when Mortal Combat was one of the top arcade games...I preferred to play a game called Tekken.
I played it so much, that I had all of the top 20 scores. Hahaha
(I was the asst. manager of an arcade at the time. And could play all I wanted to...for free...after hours.)
My game playing music were the cassettes of "Holy Diver"; "The Last In Line"; "Sacred Heart"; and "Dream Evil".

TGIF..............

This Lindsey Stirling gal, is a violinist that a friend on Facebook led me to.
The videos might be a little different, but, IMHO, she is a quite talented violinist.

Bad Company......

I rarely listen to new music.
However, I have always been a bit of a Reba fan.
So, I thought I would listen to the new songs off of her new album.

I enjoy this one......

Today (Jan. 27th) is the birthday of Pink Floyd's Nick Mason...........

That IS very cool, IMHO. ('Course, it helps that I was/am a Dio fan.)

I seen the same thing (hologram of RJD), was done for Wacken Open Air 2016.
Not sure if it was the same band, though.
Which begs the question....What's the name of the band in this video?

I am assuming that the hologram is footage taken from a concert, circa '84 to '88 (based on the amount of RJD's hair, and his appearance).
The LP ("The Last In Line") that the song was released on, came out in 1984. (For those who don't know.)

I used to own those first 5 Dio LPs...from "Holy Diver" (1983), to "Dream Evil" (1987).
