6x45 in 16" barrel?

I am looking for any tried and true chrono results with this short of a barrel running 65 grn bullets and less and what powder you are using. I have a 21" tube now and with a suppressor, it's rather long. FWIW it's a bench rest #7 Krieger so I have faith the accuracy will be there if I cut it.

I will be assembling my 16" upper later today and should have some velocities this weekend with 55 gr nosler ballistic tips. I am using a suppressor as well, which is why i ended up going with the 16" barrel. Hopefully i can still get some decent velocity.
 
Thatd be great! I think I'm wanting to cut the barrel down but I'm worried about how much velocity I'd lose although some of that can be made up by a faster powder (I like h322). Keep me posted please!
 
I put my rifle together the other day, and picked up some H-322 today along with some 70 grain nosler ballistic tips. I thought the 55 grain bullets I had were ballistic tips, but they are actually the nosler varmageddon bullets. I will load some up to check function in my rifle, adjust my gas block, and then do some load development over my chronograph. I will try to get as much of that done over the weekend as i can, I will keep you posted.
 
I got everything loaded up and drove to the range only to find it closed due to freezing rain. The weather isn't looking good for the next few days so I'll try again next weekend.
 
Ok, no problem. So let me ask, are you totally happy with the performance? I don't know how much I'd miss going shorter with the barrel.
 
Mine is an 18"BHW and wish it was 20 but i don't have my Suppressor yet so I maybe glad Its 18" down the road. I'm getting just under 3300 with 58gr and Benchmark

Just under 3300 out of an 18 inch barrel is very encouraging. If I can get the 70s over 2900 fps, and the 55s close to what you are getting i will be very happy. If the velocity i get with H-322 isn't where i would like I may try some benchmark since it sounds like you are having great luck with it.
