primer pocket crimp removal

PlantOne is dead nuts. In fact, on some 223 brass that I intend to fire form to AI, I barely removed the crimp to the degree that it helped keep the primer tight...make sense?

I cherish my IMI brass, it was also marked in some military brass as TZZ with crimped primers, both the IMI and the Tzz is some really tough brass.

If you don't give a crap and are shooting an AR where you are losing the brass on every firing, then the reaming will get you through the job, but there is nothing precision about it at all, and it does create more of a gap to allow primer flow around the top edge if you are shooting hot loads in a bolt gun.

Notice how PlantOne segregated his LC '01 brass?
