I decided to try the 6.5 Grendel on hogs and just finished up a build.

I mounted a Nikon scope for the range and then it will get an IRD 35mm Mark III thermal for hog hunting.

Very nice build!
The ARP barrels have always been great performers for me. Debating a six5 setup now.
Get busy and get us some in-the-field pics!

Thanks. I hope to get it out this week. I have to put some glass on it and see how it shoots then sight in the thermal to get it ready for the hogs.

This rig shoots really nice and I think part of it is the rifle length gas setup on the ARP barrel.

Got my first hog with it tonight.... Not good shot placement but I had to shoot thru some thick weeds. The Hornady 123 grain SST still managed to put down this small sow.

I see that CZ is coming out with a 6.5 Grendel bolt in the spring. Getting one of the 1st one the store ordered.
