Right Place,Right Time

Finally I had everything come together. Shot 4 coyotes so far this season this is the first one recovered. I switched to a 6.8 spc AR shooting 90 grain Sierra hollow points.
This male took about 2 steps after the hit. I didn't weight him but I'd guess around 35 lbs. He's healthy (was).

Just out of curiosity, what where you using before, and why do you think you lost the other three?

I mostly use a .223 for coyote hunting and find that as long as my shot is placed well, they almost always drop right where they stand.

I was using 223 with 40 grain Nosler ballistic tips. It killed them but man sometimes they went a mile.
