Origin of the .22LR vs. Grizzly myth?

m98 - If this were a shot in the heart or some other muscle you would be right about the adrenaline. But a shot to the brain is a shot to the brain and the lights simply go out no matter how upset the bear is. Its getting a good shot at the brain of a mad animal thats the hard part.

what I was saying is that once the bear is startled/spooked the adrenaline will rush thus the animal will not stay still and a shot to the core would not happen easily. the key is to get em' when they're unalert in the spot that's why I said it was a 'sniper' shot. eskimoes used to hunt polars with .22lr's using 'sniper' shot techniques.
