Shooting 69/77 TMK's in an AR 15

I picked up a FN 15 Tactical Carbine 16" 7 twst. I've tryig to get the TMK"s to group. Of the two the 77's are shooting the best, but not that well as far as I'm concerned. It shoots the Hornady HPBT .5 MOA' but I'm not wanting to use them on coyotes. The powders I've trying are IMR8208 H4895 AR Comp RL 15 and the old standby Varget. My best group with the 77's was 22.3 of Varget. That's going to be slow. Havn't chrono'ed any yet. Any input appreciated. Love the gun. Weighs in at 7#. Nice and light for this old timer.
 
I have never tried the TMK's, but from what you posted for a load, I would try pushing them a bit more. IIRC, I run about 24.3gr of Varget with a 77gr SMK.
 
The 69's just aren't going to shot in the FN. Got my best velocities today with AR Comp. My accuracy load was 22.5 developing 2439 avg. That was a 3/4 MOA group at 100 yds. That 22.5 was just starting to compress.
 
My best load was the 77GR TMK, Win Brass, Federal SR AR Match primer, Tac powder. It would do 5 under 5/8" at 100,and 5 under 2.5" at 300. Dropped a doe last season at 510 yards with it out of a 18" 8 Twist.
Ive got the 69s just havent tried any of them yet.
 
My 77g TMK load is 23.0 gr of 8208XBR, CCI BR-4, COL 2.265", and runs 2676 fps out of a 20" 8 twist.
(normal caution of work up a load carefully in your rifle)
 
I ran the 69's with 25.5gn of varget in my bolt gun and put 10 shots under 0.5" at 100yds. (I will have to find that pic so "it happened"). My buddy runs the 69 nosler custom comps in his AR with 24.5gns of varget and it's a 1 holer from an 18" 8twist.
 
Today I'm going to work up to 24.0 of RL 15 with the Nos. 77 CC 's. That's what is shooting best out of the FN. It will not shoot the 69 TMK's, and I'm not going ware the gun trying to make it do so. When I find the sweet spot with RL 15 I'm going to try the same load with AR Comp. AR Comp seems to give more velocity.

I just worked up a ladder with 8208 and 69's. my accuracy node is right around 23.0 of 8208. All were pretty accurate but 22.9 and 23.3 were in the same hole.

Nice! Any idea where your velocity might end up? I have test flights loaded at 23.0 and 23.3.
 
I'm shooting 77 tmk with Varget (can't recall the charge but it is basically what you are shooting) in a 1:7 WOA. The load is an absolute hammer accuracy-wise. I was able to shoot a 5 x 5 target (5 shot groups into 5 targets and have an agg. under 0.5". I'm using Winchester primers. I chose the 1:7 over the 1:8 as I intended to use the heavies from the start. Not that I didn't believe the 1:8 would stabilize the heavies, which I'm sure it would, but heavies were my sole purpose
