Actually, they play it on the radio here on a regular basis.

In the evenings this week, I have been sort of "binge watching" a BBC mystery show called "Inspector George Gently".
Not only is it (IMHO) a good show, if you like English or Irish folk songs...or British 1960's music...it has some good tunes.
The show is set in northeast England, starting in '64, with the 7th season ending as 1070 begins.

Anyway.....it got me in the mood for some folk songs.......

These first couple are from the series, episode "Gently With Class", from season 5. The singer is Ebony Buckle.

I loved this one, as a kid.....

This week, in the year 1983.....

The movie "Eddie and The Cruisers" was released.

The movie was a box office flop. But, after hitting HBO a few months later, it became almost a "cult classic" (to some).

I liked the movie.
But I loved the soundtrack (all songs written & performed by John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band).

That soundtrack never left my truck between 1984-1986.

That is, until the tape finally snapped.

I was reminded of all of this, last night.
The TV network "Decades", (which is all about remembering TV & movies from the '60s-'80s), aired the movie.

It's out today. I have it, haven't listened to all of it yet.

Good interview with Rich about it & what they're up to now:
