So I got my form 1 back last week.

Building a can for .30 cal 9" mainly to be used on my 6.5 Creedmoor but will also use at times on AR
First off I don't have access to a lathe so making my own baffles are kinda out of the question. I've ordered the "D cell dry storage containers from Amazon" one SS an the rest aluminum.
Was looking around on the computer today an was on SD tacticals sight an saw this...

What's your thoughts? Think I should continue with the dry storage or just order the SD recore? I like the idea of a one piece baffle system.
What have you guys done on your form 1 builds? Are you happy with them what would you do differently next time?
They're just so may options out there an id like to do it right the first time. Like I said earlier I like the one piece baffle system just because it seems easier then a bunch of baffle but really open to most anything.

for my form 1 i used a titanium 7.6" tube from sdtactical. also used sdt ti endcap and 1/2x28 ti direct thread muzzle protector. i formed and drilled my baffles using stainless steel freeze plugs. very happy with the final results. just as quite as some factory made suppressors i been around.

as for that question^^^, i also think a 1 piece mono core baffle would be the way to go. but, in the description of that mono core baffle it reads to me like you must have an already completed form 1 suppressor and you must SEND it to that company so they can do a re-core on it.
that is the way i read it anyways.

Guess I didn't read it all the way but I think your right. Hmm... I'll have to call them on Tuesday an get the full scoop on how it works

i build a SDtactical 8" 30- cal titanium tube.

its pretty nice, but i think if i did another in the future i'd probably build off one of the kits from http://diversifiedmachine.info/

they have some pretty snazzy looking solvent traps that appear to be able to be converted over pretty easily.
