Does anyone have any experience with this scope for 500 yard target shooting? Looking at mounting one on my 6.5 creedmoor

I wanted to like it because it's cheap, and vortex promotes the glass. I was very unimpressed in the store, fish eye effect at low power, and not very clear when cranked up.

It's tough to give a scope a real review looking at it in a store but,I have owned/own the 3-12 and 4-16 HP.
I ended up keeping the 3-12 and sold the 4-16. I had it mounted on a 6.5 CM and while it was not bad for a sub $500 scope the eye relief was rather short. (Your eye had to be dead on at 16x) The glass not too bad(again price point).
Look at the 3-12x I think you'd be happier with that.
