Kind of different ways to pick up new land

For the past several weeks, I've been staying a house we own in town about 40 miles from our farm.
During that time, I've spent hours at the veternarians office. Been using this vet for years.
Predators are bad in this area and some of the folks have
been bringing in their dogs that have just been ripped up
by something. Vet says probably coyotes but could be other dogs.
So, I get to chatting with those folks and ask questions.
Been getting a few invites to come out to their farms and clean out coyotes and feral dogs.

Since my mom died last fall, I've been going thru her "stuff" and selling some online in the local facebook groups.
Thats been going good. This is in the same town as the
vet I mentioned above. When folks come over to pick up
their stuff, they get greeted by 1 of our great pyreneese dogs.
Shes the reason I've spent hours at the vets office above.
They ask about the dog, etc and I explain she guards goats from predators.
They then tell me how bad the coyotes have been at their
place and again, I've been getting invites to come clean
out coyotes.

Been entertaining but dang, I'm ready to get back home to my own farm.
Now I need to find time to get to these other farms.

1 entertaining thing that happened at the vets office.
I went in to pick up my dog and the vet's tech person said she would take her out the back door
instead of thru the waiting area.
1 lady there with a large dog decided she need to know why my dog couldn't go out the front door.
Well lady, my dog would come out and kill your hunting dog.
She got a little pissy about that until I explained that's what my dogs job was and why.
She was still a little pissy about it but it was time for me to go.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures of dead predators from these new properties.
