Crossbow Red Dot

Anyone using a red dot on a crossbow? If so what would be a good inexpensive one? Are you using one with 3 dot or just 1 dot? Got Barnett Raptor and the scope that comes with it does not have the eye relief I need. I more than likely will not be making shots over 40 yards.
 
I've been running a red dot for years. Never understood the need for 3x magnification on a crossbow. I bought a couple of Bushnell Trophy red dots when they were on sale. About $80 on Amazon. My daughter has been running the crossbow more than me lately, and prefers the red dot to the scope. It's a single dot, very simple. No frills.
