Wish I knew what type of wood this is but I have not figured it out yet,very nice none the less... If you don't have a call with one of my hand made toneboards this is a shining example,it sounds great.

Almost looks like walnut with sapwood, in picture on the left. Picture on the right is about impossible to tell. And, yes... Walnut is highly underrated, it sings very sweetly.

the pics are of the same call. I think you may be right,I'll look into that a little more.Thanks.
