I'm looking for a roundabout velocity for 36.7 gr of RL 15 with a 52gr HPBT out of a 22"barrel. It's gonna be a bit before I'm able to chrono it and want to know if I should try more load work or stick with it, without having to make 2 trips out of town to try it.

I shoot 37 grains of Varget in my 22-250AI and a 52 grain Berger and its about 3700ish. 24 inch tube. Apples and oranges but maybe it helps a little.

The books seem to think it's apples and oranges between RL15 and RL15. SOME say this load is around 37+, some say it's only around 35. There's no pressure at that load but it shoots way to good to not look into. Id like to see 3650ish.

My Hornady book says 35.8 grains and a 52-53 grain bullet should be 3700 FPS with a 26 inch barrel. If 36.7 grains shoots good and no ill effects, I'd go for it. You should be close to the FPS your wanting and I doubt the receiving end won't know the difference.

Around 3650 out of a 22 inch barrel.it depends on chamber and barrel some are a little faster or slower.

I ran a trajectory "truing" velocity today and it figured about of 37-3800. The 3 shot group averaged 3780 and after moving the zero up from 100 to 160, +/- ~.3 I got a low velocity at 37 ish. I'd be pretty happy with that, being that it shoots like this at 100.

Top is 36.5 bottom is 36.7, both 5 shot groups. This load is over some manuals max. Work up to it.

Out of my savage xp hunter 52gn match kings were averaging 3550 with 35.2 rel 15 cci primer. I picked up a pound of AR Comp a while back and with a 55 grain sierra sp #1365 their running 3747 fps average 34.6grains
