Many very good features are available on the new Rem 783, in addition to an adjustable accutype trigger, barrel nut like savage, Savage type floading bolt head that can be interchanged, and steel detachable magazines. Accuracy gunsmiths checked how true the 783's were machined and many reported that they were better than some customs that they had on hand.

Interesting. I have looked at but not fired a 783 before. Liked the way they felt in the hand. Not sure about the Remington quality of late? Also read somewhere that the barrel of the 783 left much to be desired.
