Christening A New Rifle

Got a new rifle finished up last week and got load work done for it. Well dad gave me a heck of a time for not bringing the calling gear with me, so I didn't forget to bring it when I came home for the holiday weekend.

About 20 minutes into the stand I hear a smooch, our sign for coyote, and sure as heck I can't find it. After he does all the work to get him to commit, put him where I can see him, and keep his finger off the trigger, the new rifle is 100%.

A big old thanks to the ol' man.

That's a good all around deal, breaking in the rifle right and doing it with your dad. Nothing like quality time spent like that.

What is more fun than breaking in a new rifle in the warm season. Great times!

I think this coyote just wanted put out of his misery! Each arrow is a tick and we sure didn't look for more.
