BLC2 in 25-45

Anyone using BLC2 in 25-45 Sharps? I plan on loading 80-87 gr bullets. I have some IMR 4198 but very little. I just can't believe that Varget would not be a good powder for this round, but people say too slow. I'm getting great results .223 and .257 Roberts with Varget.

26-28.5 gr BLC-2 with the Speer 87 gr will net from 2270-2630 fps in a 20" barrel
