grandstanding has been.. He had no chance, and yet was trying to hope the party would screw the people and give it to him.

So does this mean NO Contested Convention and Trump is Good to go??

For now it looks like an unobstructed path, but never doubt the deceit of the Republican Party, or any other for that matter. If Cruz takes his Delegates and starts a 3rd Party, Hildabeast will win. Although they all signed the pledge? It will be interesting to see.

if he gets to the convention with 1237 pledged delegates - its as good as locked up .... unless the RNC pulls some shenanigans with the rules anyway.

if he comes in with less than 1237 then there may be issues.

theres more than enough delegates out there left for him to clean it up now that he's got nobody running against him, so in theory it should be a clean walk to the nomination at this point.

They've been doing the math and know they can't stop him. Trump only needs 184 more delegates out of 514 available, that's 35% of the available vote, and he's been doing all of that even in the states he loses.

Cruz knew he couldn't reach the 1237, it was completely out of reach for him after Indiana, if he won everything else. So why waste the time and money.

Someone hit Kasich over the head with a baseball bat and he came out of his mindless trance, and confronted the reality that he was only going to be about 1200 delegates shy of the necessary 1237, so he finally decided to go back to Ohio. Where he'll chant "I'm the only one that can beat Hillary." until his dying day!!

Contested convention = "The 10 of us know how the 318 million of you should be governed". Unless you have a tie, shouldn't even be an issue. Get rid of delegates, get rid of the electoral college and there's no issue. Your vote would actually matter.

with Kasich dropping as fast as he did after Cruz signed off... it makes it look more like he stayed in just to screw over Cruz's chances of ending up top, which was my suspicion for a while now. Purely a spoiler to draw votes.
