Does any one still use hearing protection with a suppressor?

Getting one but they drop noise 30 to 35 DB. DB's out of a .223 run 155 which leaves it around 120-125. Still plenty. I know loss is a combination of intensity and duration but have lost enough already (tinnitus in left ear). Would still think it prudent to wear something.

i dont with my 22, but thats stupid quiet.

i plan to with my centerfire with supers, and i'll have to play with the subs and see how those sound in my blackout. if i'm blasting subs i may not, but for sure with supers.

i'm just trying to prevent my tinnitus from getting worse.

I find it's very borderline for me with the ar's. Still plenty of noise coming out the ejection port. I expect with bolt guns it wouldn't be an issue at all.

I wear ear muffs at the range still due to the fact there are usually other shooters out there.
Not when I am out hunting or p-dogging though.

When i do a lot of AR shooting i will. It's more of a pressure issue then noise. I find if i do a lot of AR shooting, and Contact drill's the pressure of shooting gives me a head ache. Surefire makes great earpro that I run.
Surefire Sonic Defender earpro.

Can you hear me now ??
