I've been working up loads for the above, using CFE223 and 760....with modest success, and would be very interested in your experience with other powder/load combinations with this bullet and caliber. Thanks, George

I've always had good success with H380 powder in my 22-250 loads. The best accuracy came at 39 grs which net me 3350ish fps.

That said 50 gr bullets out shoot 60gr by a long shot in my Encore....with lighter bullets and TAC powder my Encore pro hunter is an impressive shooter.

I use 50gr vmax not 60 but my savage model 11fcns likes 37.6gr. of Varget set .006 off the lands. 5/16" at 100 & 3/4"(-) at 200 off of bags. right at 3600fps.

I have a friend that shoots 8208 xbr with the 60 grain vmax out of a savage axis heavy barrel. He uses sellor and belliot primers, mixed brass, and i believe a middle of the spectrum charge of powder to shoot a little under 1/2 inch groups.

IMR 4350, check the nosler reloading manual for their most accurate load with their 60g, worked with the 60g V max as well, about 3450 fps out of my 24". Primers made a whale of a difference with this load.

38 grains of H414, CCI bench rest primers, worked well for me. If you have a 1 in 14 twist, it may not stabilize the 60 gr. bullet.

14 twist stabilized the 60g Sierra, mine shot very small bug holes at 3450 with IMR 4350...load is in the Nosler manual for their 60g partition.

60g partition will shoot 1 1/2" groups with a 14T, not much smaller in my experience, but it kills deer like a 30/06.
