End of the season for me

Not a bad way to end the season. Only 9 more months and I'll be after them again. Now to decide to sell local, ship to NAFA, or drive 6 hours to Livingston Montana for the Western States Sale in a couple weeks

That's actually just a piece of 1/4 rod with 11 gauge wire tacked to it for my snare support. I run long snares and they are usually dispatched when I get there but I think this guy had just hit the snare before I got there as there was no catch circle
 
oh, I see, I had some 1/2" poles bent from them. thats crazy just hit it, if Im out west with no deer stop I can kill some so fast they look like they just laid down and died.no grass broken, most the time. Stinking deer stops keep 2/3 of them alive in IA, my snares are only 6-7ft long
 
I normally run a 10' snare with a 5' extension. But I'm lazy and if I can tie off to a tree and not have to pound a stake I'll add a couple more extensions
