Success at Last

My hunting partner and I have made a bunch of stands this winter, but up until today have only had misses. Today I made 5 stands and on the last one after 10 minutes of turkey gobbles this 28 pound male came trotting in. I made a 45 yard shot with my Savage .223.

I'm with you on the tough hunting. I have to go out of state to kill coyotes. I have only ever fired one round at a coyote in MD and killed him butbit was 3 years ago. Coyotes here on the eastern shore are like big foot. You hear of sightings but rarely do folks see them. Thatvwas all until this year. Seen a pair while calling hang up about 300 yards away in a hedgerow and would not budge. I let them slide without a shot fired in hopes that one night I will get them to slip
