What grease do you use when putting together your ar

I was looking at using Lucas Red N Tacky. I see it has oxidation inhibitors and rust inhibitors and does not have any metal or graphite. What do all you use on your threads when putting together your Ar.

Plain white lithium or wheel bearing grease on the barrel nut. Everyrhing else nothing.

Lithium grease for me, but after assembly all mine ever gets is some CLP. Too much lube attracts dirt. Same for my shotguns and bolt guns.

I fotgot to post this originally. You dont want a grease with any kind graphite in it, it eats aluminum.

Yes On the barrel nut threads. Everything else I use oil.

I use T/C antiseize made for the brech plug on my muzzle loader

bad part is i have a whole tube that i will never use all of.

I decided on Lucas red n tacky. It is a grease with anti seize. No graphite either and available localy

Now I use Weapon Shield Grease, as well as their excellent oil. If you check out some of George Fennel's comparison videos on You Tube, you'll see why. Just punch in "Weapon Shield vs. Frog Lube", and you will get a whole bunch of videos where Weapon Shield products are tested against most all of the major "gun lubes".
