RL-26 and .243 Win

Picked up a pound of RL-26 today to try and squeeze a few more fps out of the 105 Amax. Anyone shooting this combo? Also interested in shooting some 80, 85, and 90 gr bullets if there is any data out there to support these lighter bullets and RL26. Your knowledge and experiences are greatly appreciated!

105's will be the ticket with the R#26, use a cci 250 or a fed 215.

R#19 is best with the 85 and 90 with Win primers, and 4064 is best with the 80g with a fed 210, speed with accuracy with all of these.

I don't know if you could get enough in the case for 80, 85, and 90g bullets with the #26.

I am using it in the 6mm Creedmoor with 105 Berger hybrid and the velocity I settled on was 3270fps. My old load was running 3075fps so I gained about 200fps and I have verified to 1000.
I loaded to over 3350 but with no Issues but dropped back just because it shot so good there.

Also as Ackleyman noted it seems to do well in numerous calibers with heavy for caliber bullets. I am using it with 80gr in 22 Creedmoor/ 168gr in 280 Rem/ 200 gr in 300 WM

Dave, how do you think it would work in a 6.5x47 Lapua and 130's? I am currently using RE-17 with good results, but more speed isn't a bad thing...

I use it in a 243 with the Hornady 100gr. btsp's and Nosler 95gr. partitions. I don't have a Chronograph anymore so I don't know how fast their going. 48 grain for the 95's and 46.5 grain for the 100's. Accuracy is absolutely super.

I think it would be OK but not sure you will gain too much with the 130gr... I am getting a load with the 6.5 Creedmoor ready with the new 143gr Hornady's and I will keep y'all posted. I could try it in the AR but want to wait on the two 6.5 Bolt guns coming hopefully by the weekend.

Sheesh, 65lbs in a 243 has to be well over 8000 rounds. Did you pick up 4 or 5 barrels too.

I've got a couple pounds of it to try in a 6.5-284

Now was the time to buy, the stuff won't be getting easier to find, or cheaper, in the future. Should be good for a couple decades
