Crash dummy explains the 2nd and 3rd amendment

Everyone should watch this video about how the 2nd and 3rd amendments go hand in hand and explain that the 2nd amendment is not just about the right to hunt but the right to bear arms and protect the home and he homeland from threat within and abroad.

I already knew it, but it's really great to hear it come from a dummy. Now we only have several million more dummies to update.
In my school, we had gym and civics classes...

Now couple that video with the requests of the FBI to Apple to give them a super key to unlock and by extension invade your privacy.

Compare that to the SCOTUS decision that email and electronic forms of records are covered and part of the 4th amendment.

Then think about how the Government is getting secret warrants in secret courts (see 5th, 6th Amendments) They set up the NSA and are tapped into and watching all citizens via the internet.
THey have laws that call some speech hate speech, but only use them on some citizens and not others while ignoring the 1st A.

Is the government really following the ideals and letter of the constitution and bill of rights, (American values) or are they violating them?

Don't tell me we have to allow in people from other countries (find that in the constitution) and because we know they hate us, we then have to then violate every ones bill of rights to accommodate them, but "keep you safe" from terrorists oh, and didn't see the terror attack coming.

Instead of challenging my patriotism and willingness as a citizen to fight terror, try not let them in and thus not need to violate everyone's bill or rights? (look up the immigration numbers from 1920-1960)

I think the politicians are mostly progressives on both sides that want Socialistic control to keep their power, and thus allow illegals and terrorist in whom they know will cause harm. All in the desire to give them the reason to violate our bill of rights to then keep everyone in control, to prevent them loosing their power/wealth they are taking from us to give to each other.

There is a HUGE Difference in the FBI case as to what the Dummy is saying.

1st the Apple Cell Phone is owned by the company that the terrorist worked for and They and the FBI both want the information on the apple cell phone unlocked.

The company that owned the cell phone and allowed the terrorist to use it for work purposes wants the information on the phone unlocked.

I see nothing wrong with this situation. And the Court agrees.

Also the FBI will allow apple to unlock the phone and doesn't want to use this information to unlock any other phones. All apple has to do is unlock the phone and turn the data over to the FBI. They don't have to tell the FBI how to unlock the phone.

Now a discussion on encryption and how it affects the fight against terrorist is another long discussion.

My post above was started in order to show that the 2nd amendment was about self protection not just about hunting rights which some anti gun people are saying. IMHO the 2nd amendment was always about the right to bear arms to protect our selves and our loved ones from a tyrannical government or any other intruders who would come into our home. (castle)

Only the third party Apple is fighting this. But in the past Apple corroborated with the FBI in these type of matters.

Last I heard the FBI wanted the key. They don't want the phone unlocked and turned over. Makes no sense why Apple wouldn't do that if that were the case. If the fbi gets the key they can look at anyone's phone and pull whatever they want off it. And that's why Apple refuses to hand it over.

its not that apple is refusing to "hand it over" as you suggest, its that they're refusing to make the software that would allow the security features to be removed from the phone. which no matter what anyone says - would NOT apply to just one phone. it would be an OS patch that would be able to be installed on a locked/secured device to remove the security features. i dunno about you but that seems like a really stupid peice of software to create to me... imagine the commercial/business ramifications if said software were to get out into the wild and in the hands of hackers - or god forbid the chicom's trying to steal US patent infomraiton.

saying "hand it over" suggests that the software already exists. Apple says it does not and therefore has a right to refuse to produce such.

uncle same is claiming they have a evidence that leads them to believe that there's information on the phone that they need access to.

the problem is uncle sam has been trying to get a backdoor to these phones for a while now and several states are trying to ban these uncrackable phones - CA and NY specifically -(google it).

if i had to speculate - they ( the feds ) already cracked it ... and found something - but if they were to admit that, well there goes their story that these phones are still secure. along with their longstanding story that they cant crack these phones. which is why they're trying to pressure apple to give them a software update to bypass the security. It also gives them plausible deniability if said software were to be leaked (ala Snowden type leak) and get out into the wild. i've seen at least one leading software security executive (and computer science professor) say that there's no reason the Govt computer folks cant create what they're looking for. They have people at least as smart as apple working for them.

one thing that everyone forgets to mention - including 99% of the media reports regarding this - all the cloud data has already been turned over by Apple and decrypted already .... because (are you ready for this) they have the decryption tools already built for that application. in fact to date apple has complied with EVERY request by the govt regarding this phone and its linked apple accounts.

You are right in one way. It's all about power and control. It's always been that way even in ancient times. Some things will never change. death and taxes are the only sure things in this world.

And yes our 1st amendment rights get violated all the time. But at least we still have our guns and the US Army is not kicking us out of our homes in order to put their soldiers in our beds. Not yet.

I heard it different. I heard that the US Government asked Apple to unlock the I Phone and the government was going to turn the phone over to Apple and let them unlock it and then give the Government the data.

But it's now a mute point as some hacker has already figured out how to unlock the I phone 6's data and let the Government figure out who the terrorists were talking to.

So Apple's Proprietary Locking mechanism is not working and is able to be hacked. So now anyone with an I phone will know that what they do with that I phone can be seen by the Government hackers. That will make a huge dent in Apples Stock Prices.
