This is true. However, politicians will be more open to hearing from a lobbyist group with 10 million American members than one with only 1 million. The more gunowners that make their political voice heard through the NRA or other gun rights organization, the more influence we can have on the boneheads in DC. That's the simple truth. Numbers matter, and big numbers matter even more. Just think how powerful our lobbying organization would be if all 80 million American gunowners were members? We would be nearly unstoppable.
For the price of a mid-grade box of ammo, you can join the ranks of the most effective pro-Second Amendment organization in our country. For the cost of a tank of gas in your commuter car, you can make your voice heard to our misguided politicians. Even if that money doesn't go directly to the fight (that's where your contributions to the NRA PVF and NRA ILA come in), simply being on the roster helps ensure the NRA gets heard in political circles. Sheer numbers can influence.
I agree, thats why I am a member. even if only pennies from me make it to the fight!
