Remington 11-87 Failure to eject or feed ?

I bought a used Rem 11-87 with a loose feed latch. I restaked it myself and found out it would not feed the second shell. Since it would feed manually with the charge bar, I decided with the advice in the feed that I did it correctly, and looked elsewhere. I cleaned the magazine tube, and spring. I stretched the spring. I replaced the O ring. I cleaned it completely, including the gas ports and am shooting it with no problems now.
