.308 DPMS Sportical bbl swap

So I recently picked up a DPMS Sportical in .308. Already had one but I couldn't turn down this one for the price. I've always wanted a .243 in an AR platform. BHW has barrels for $319 in either a 16" or 18".

Does anyone have a AR platform .243 and: what length bbl? Rifle or mid length gas tube? FF or Glacier guards? What bullet weight do you shoot? I plan on coyotes with 58 - 70 grain bullets at 300 to 500 yds.

I don't have one in an AR but have owned probably 15 243s as its my favorite round for dogs. I would get the longer of the 2 barrels. In my opinion if you went short you would be better of with a 6x45 in an AR15
