Picked up a new fusion today. Put lithium batteries in it and immediately the sound at full volume started skipping . Tried 2 other sets of batteries including some rechargeables. Problem is still there.

Anyone ran into this problem before?

I'm leaving in a few days for a 2 week long trip and hoping I have a working call.

How far are you from the ecaller when it is doing that?

Doesn't matter if I use the remote or the dial/buttons on the call the problem persist but I haven't tried it more than 20 yards or so.

Just exchange it where you got it! And have fun on your trip.

Had the same problem with a shocwave. If you search here you should find a thread on it. Send it in or exchange it where you got it.

That's an option but I'm not sure they had a second one on the shelf and it's not local so it would cost me time and money to do that.

Is it one particular sound that skips or all sounds? Do you have your caller set for the battery type you are using?

All sounds get the stutter/skip around 25-30 with both sides turned on.

Battery is setup correctly.

There was a post several weeks ago that dealt with being too close to the ecaller. It causes some kind of feedback problem.

wisturkeyhunter,

It definitely sounds like a battery issue of some type. When a caller starts skipping at the higher volumes, it is almost always battery related. I know that you have tried some different battery setups. Without knowing the condition of the batteries you tried, it's hard to tell what could be causing the battery issue. If you can't get it figured out, give the Customer Service guys a call, and they can go over it on the phone with you.

Regards,

Mike Dillon

It's a speaker issue and looks like it's going back.

Thanks for the replies.
