Though dove season started a few days ago here, my first chance to head out for some feathered fun was this morning. The three of us were welcomed by a beautiful sunrise.
We put the dog to work and ended up with a pretty decent pile of birds - mostly mourning doves, but a couple white wings and invasive Eurasian collared doves.
By hitting my daily limit early, I freed myself up to focus on my two older kids on a dove hunt of their own. If you're interested, check out their first dove hunt here.
