I don't suggest doing this, or at least wait for your wife to be out of town for the weekend.
The brass hitting the floor seems louder the the report of the weapons.
I can see a benefit of shooting suppressed for home defense, How ever I would prefer to not have my suppressor confiscated until it is all sorted out as well.
Plus if you have multiple intruders the report of firearms my deter them from continuing with their nefarious activities.
