So got a break today and enough time for a range trip to try some 87 gr VMAX in my new BHW 6x6.8.
Used 8208 XBR, 2.265" COL, CCI BR-4, HDY brass:
28.2 => 2940 fps ave, 7.8 sd
28.4 => 2954 fps ave, 14.0 sd
28.6 => 2962 fps ave, 28.6 sd
28.8 => 2974 fps ave, 6.7 sd, next best group (0.63")
29.0 => 2981 fps ave, 6.7 sd, best group (0.42"), and 1717 ft-lbs @ muzzle
primers still looked good, minor flattening, no craters, and still 100% AR function.

Yes, faster, assuming yours was 20" or longer, based on my 20" results above with 87 gr VMAX pushed by 29.0 gr of 8208 XBR.
This barrel also likes 85 gr Speer SPBT, just as accurate and 2983 fps on 29.2 gr 8208.
HDY new brass & CCI BR-4.

In my 22" bhw 1/9" twist 28g x8208, 87g vmax RP brass runs at 3044 fps
The 6x6.8 sure likes 80-95g bullets in any rig.
29g x8208, 95g NHBT runs 3037.
Both those loads out perform my 243 loads w/same bullets.

Tom

They are referring to the straight neck down of the 6.8 to 6MM. No shoulder movement or angle changes. The barrel being used are done by Black Hole.

I emailed barnes and told them we need a 60-70 tsx for all us 6mm ar guys. Great looking rifle and shoots like all my BHW barrels do
