Gun Lube Test

Wow! No kidding that was quite the test, somebody put some serious time and effort into that.

Hmmm, on another "test", I saw Eezox, which has worked well for me since I've been using it, did very well.....admittedly some of these new lubes didnt exist then.......now it is middle of that pack. Course Eezox is $100 a gallon and the WD40 & One Shot winners here appear to only be available in small containers at about $200-250 a gallon.....hmmmmmm......I have enough of various products to use up for a while now, but its interesting to see the new stuff perform.

Excellent article; sure blew holes in some of my long held opinions. Wish he had included Shooter's Choice FP 10, though. Was really surprised at WD40 and Hoppes 9. Been selling them short based on his results.

Thanks for sharing.

Froggy removes nitride/melonite.

I have a can of One Shot that I've never used - can't even remember where I got it.

I started using Frog Lube more extensively about a year ago, I'm honestly really surprised that he found it to have "none to mild" odor, but I'm not surprised to read that he found it to be such a great lubricating and protecting product.

This test is REALLY indicative of why so many folks believe "once you use Frog Lube, you can't use anything else on it." it's very clear here that anything BUT Frog Lube would show increased vulnerability and increased friction, so going to anything else would degrade the current state.
