Hey guys!!!
After nearly a month of trying to avoid triple-digit heat...I'm back to working calls again.
(I readily admit that I just can't handle those days when the temps are 100-105, and the heat index is 110+ anymore.)
Anyways....
Today I have up for auction, an (IMHO) interesting antler howler.
It is made from a non-typical Whitetail antler base.
The antler is naturally bleached from time in the sun (before I got it).
But...the antler is 100% solid. Absolutely no "punkiness" [sp] to it at all!!!
The call is fitted with an 1-5/8" Executioner 'board.
Voiced with a hand-cut .010" mil reed...this is kind of an "all-around" howler.
...YOY/pup vocals on the tip
...3/8" in, you get a "young female"
...middle is your basic generic adult female (I have added an additional band-retaining groove at that point, to aid in locating the spot) If the buyer wants, I will supply extra bands.
...and near the "base", you get an old raspy female.
With the interior nicely opened up to 11/16" diameter, the call has nice volume, IMHO.
The overall length of the call is 6-3/8".
And the "mean" outside diameter is about 1" average.
I did a cleaning job on this antler...but left the "finish" 100% natural.
Unlike most of my calls, there is NOT any clear-coating on it anywhere.
I am putting this call up for auction, instead of out-right sale, because I didn't know if you all would think it worth what I "normally" price my antler calls at. (shrug)
Let's run this auction until Sunday August 9th, ending @ 10 PM, Central Time.
THANK YOU for lookin' & biddin'!!!
