458 socom and 50 beowulf

Is the parent case the same for the 458 SOCOM and the 50 Beowulf ?

And what was/is the parent case?

Do you use the standard 7.62x39 bolt for both?

IIRC it was the 50A&E case.

Not a 7.62X39 bolt face on the SOCOM. They use a 0.473 bolt like a 308 Winchester.

The Beowulf does use a 447 but it is a 0.136 deep face just like was used on the Grendel.
